Keeping up with Microsoft updates can feel like a full-time job. To save you some time, I’ve rounded up the most important changes from February and March 2026. Whether you are an admin, a developer, or someone just trying to get through their inbox faster, there is something here for you.
Let’s dive into what’s new.

1. Copilot is Getting Smarter (and Everywhere)
Microsoft is making Copilot more than just a chat box; it’s becoming a tool that actually understands your specific business data.
- Your Apps in Every Conversation: You can now bring your specific Power Apps directly into Copilot chats. Instead of switching windows to check a record, Copilot can pull that info right into the conversation.
- Copilot “Cowork” in Frontier: For those in the Frontier program, Copilot Cowork is now available. Think of this as a digital teammate that helps manage tasks and workflows alongside you in real-time.
- M365 Chat in Model-Driven Apps: You can now use the full Microsoft 365 Copilot chat directly inside your Model-driven apps. This means you can ask questions about your emails or calendar without leaving your business data screen.
2. Big Wins for Power Pages
Power Pages received a lot of love these past two months, focusing on making things faster and more flexible for developers.
- SPA Support is GA: Single Page Application (SPA) support using React and Angular is now Generally Available (GA). If you prefer building modern web interfaces with these frameworks, you can now do so officially within Power Pages.
- Better Security by Default: The Web Application Firewall (WAF) is now enabled by default for Power Pages. This is great because it adds a layer of protection against web attacks without you having to remember to turn it on.
- Claude Code & GitHub Copilot Plugins: You can now use AI tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to help write code for your Power Pages sites, making the “pro-code” side of the platform much faster.
- Bypass Cache: There is a new way to fetch records using server logic that bypasses the cache. This is helpful when you need to make sure you are seeing the most recent data immediately.
3. Administration & Governance Improvements
Admins have some new tools to keep environments clean and secure.
- Monitor Alerts are GA: You can now set up official alerts in the Power Platform Monitor. Instead of watching a screen, you can get notified when something goes wrong.
- Moving SharePoint Apps: You can finally move SharePoint-integrated apps and forms out of the “Default” environment. This is a huge win for keeping your environments organized and following best practices.
- SharePoint Admin Agent: A new AI agent is available to help SharePoint admins manage content governance. It helps you find and fix issues with site permissions and data policies more easily.
4. Advanced AI in Copilot Studio
If you build your own bots, Copilot Studio just got a lot more powerful.
- More AI Choices (XAI): You aren’t stuck with just one AI model anymore. You can now use models like Grok 4.1 Fast within Copilot Studio, giving you more flexibility on how your agents think and respond.
- Computer Use Agents: This is a big one. AI agents can now “see” and “use” a computer interface like a human would—clicking buttons and typing in fields to complete complex tasks.
5. Power Apps “Code Apps”
Microsoft introduced Code Apps, a new way for developers to build Power Apps using a code-first approach. While Power Apps started as “low-code,” this allows professional developers to use their existing coding skills to build highly customized applications while still staying within the Power Platform ecosystem.
Conclusion
March and February 2026 have been busy months for the Microsoft ecosystem. We are seeing a clear shift: AI is no longer just a sidekick. With the arrival of “Computer Use” agents and the ability to pull your custom business apps directly into Copilot chats, the line between your tools and your assistant is disappearing.
For the admins, the ability to finally move SharePoint forms out of the default environment and the rollout of official Monitor Alerts are huge quality-of-life wins that will make your environments much easier to manage.
For the developers, the GA of SPA support (React/Angular) and the introduction of “Code Apps” show that Power Platform is becoming a serious playground for pro-coding, not just low-code.
